I got it, but I was trying to read stuff about vaginas for a few seconds...

Why did you not get the D?

This is a 2013 CPO with 41,000 miles. Was all I could afford, and all I really need. Bonus - since it’s an early RWD car, it has a huge “frunk”, way bigger than current models.

According to his plate talking about vaginas, I doubt he’d want the D :)

I really wish the model 3 was out, or used Roadsters were cheaper. I like the idea of switching to electric but lol at owning a leaf or bolt and i3 is cool, but not for me.
Hope you enjoy yours!

Thanks. My initial plan was to wait for the Bolt to come out... then I found a pretty good deal on this CPO. (Let’s say I paid a Bolt-and-a-half for it.) I still think the Bolt looks like a game-changer, especially by beating the Model 3 to market, but Tesla’s got the advantage of the supercharging network. (i3 is cool, but has a uselessly small back seat for my tall kids.)

How is Tesla’s CPO program?

So far, so good. CPO cars come with a 4-year warranty that seems to be pretty much bumper-to-bumper, and there’s still an 8 year battery/powertrain warranty from new (so for me, through 2021). The car was pretty much spotless when I picked it up — they repainted front & back bumpers and put new tires on it. There are quite a few tiny rock chips on the hood; I bought some touch-up paint for those. There are CPO listings on the Tesla website (and ev-cpo.com) but Tesla employees can sometimes pull more inventory than shows up in public search. (I think they put used cars into their service loaner fleet, often before they show up in CPO listings.) There are a lot of early Model S becoming available right now, both from 3-year leases expiring and earlier buyers trading up to Autopilot-enabled cars.

This is music to my ears. My dad is in the market and LOVES Tesla but could only dream of affording a new Model S.
